one of my friends has a 2003 1.8t 20th ann with an cai, bov, newspeed chip and a strait pipe from front to back, i have an 03 cl-s auto with a set of es 100 and an icebox.

we hit it up from a roll and i had him by a car and a half, then we went from a light and i slowly inch away untill we shut down and i was also a car and half in front.

all in all its close but i slowly eged him off

he said he ran a 14.8 at the 1/4 mile, but i didnt get a chance to run yet

what do u guys think

completly stock he ran a 15.4 now he runs a 14.8, plus the newspeed chip is not like the other chips its more conservative so it dosent give him much hp

my friend's 1.8t with the same mods as ur friend's except he got 18" rims and a different chip.

He ran high 13s

 

the 20th ann that my friend has comes with 18 also but like i said the newspeed chip is not like the others.

yeah ive been reading about the 1.8t's...faster than i thought they were..although some guy claimed to have hit a 14.8 completely stock..meaning it be on par with the 5AT cl-s's..for some reason i just don't see that happening..i've spanked numerous 1.8t's...maybe cuz they were auto

anyway yeah the neuspeed (newspeed? dunno) chip really sucks compared to the APR chips...that's what i read from many VW owners' posts.

 

ive owned many a 1.8t mt and at... there nice looking but not super fast.. anyway good kill.....

a 14.8 stock i highly doubt it, that day at the track there was 2 other 1.8 t and they didnt get any better then 15.3 stock

that sounds about right, jettas with those mods dont run any better then 14.5 1/4 mile, from what i recall, anyways good kill
