raced a lincoln mark vii lsc/really souped up

went traffic lite to lite, exact even start, pulled a little on him when he went to shift, yes shift.finished dead even at 70mph, no more room. at the lite he told me he had converted to a 4 speed and had major engine mods. he says he runs 14.1 at 96.5
made me feel great. just kept shaking his head when i said i was stock with a 6 cylinder.
i guess i got one of the quick ones.

Good racing! That trap speed seems a little slow for a 14.1. He should be ~100mph.

Depends on the car. A Dakota R/T with bolt-ons may run 13.6 in the 1/4, but it only runs a 99MPH trap. That means it's really runnin' on TQ. Considering what th Mark VII is, this is probably the case. CL-S and other cars like it with higher revving engine make their power up high, thus producing a higher trap speed.
