Raced an Civic Hatchback today, GSR SWAP...
Came up to a redlight when going to lunch today. And next to me pulls a kid in a dark gray civic hatchback, rims, lowered, pod gauges, racing seats, etc.
We looked at each other, and I dropped it when the light changed.
He didn't even get CLOSE! I mean, I was looking out of the corner of my eye, and not ONCE did I see him even get remotely CLOSE!!!
I shut it down at ~120 or so...
Putting the SMACK DOWN! Days like today I love my CL! Cocky ricer!
Pulled up next to him and asked what all he had. GSR swap, intake, headers, exhaust, shocks springs, sways, etc.

That guy can not drive worth shit........i have seen numerous hatchbacks with GSR engines, and the rest of the engine is stock, running mid 13's...........just think what a 170hp car could run in a car that weighs 2000lbs gutted.

I dunno. I know that one properly driven would've given me a at least a better run. I know how to drive the shit outta my ride though.
Haven't been to the track, but with the Toyos I just got put on this morning, I'd say without a doubt VERY low 14's.

YO,
if you want come race my buddies civic hatch back w/ a typeR motor swap.
BAsically that thing can NOT launch cause of no torque. but once it gets moving it was right behind me keeping steady but once in vtec/header range I was able to pull slightly each time.
A GSR motor swap hatchback is no problem buddy

Find beauty in dissonance
I raced this hatchback with a typeR swap from a 20 mph roll. I lost, not by much. I stopped around 85 because of traffic. The guy had a half car, I was afraid he was going to cut me off.

With headers and CAI it would have been a different story.

PLUS TIRES make a huge difference, the stock ones are so goddamn gay looking, and have TRULY poor sidewalls...
