Anyone else hear about this car? Has anyone seen one up close? Any thoughts, opinions, comments?

That's what I thought. I've never seen one up close, in fact, I just learned about them yesterday (i read an article referencing one and decided to look it up). Anyway, their website (www.qvaleauto.com/home.htm) goes into detail on how they're made and so on. Looks great but $80,000 seems kinda steep. I guess that's the price you pay for having your car hand made in Beverly Hills.

I've read some articles about this car, looks ok on paper until you see the price and realize it is only a done up mustang...
not worth 80gs IMHO...

A guy has one here at work. Yup it is all Mustang under the hood. Rather heavy too. I think it is 200 lbs lighter than our car.
Looks funky to me. It takes a while to get used to it.

I have seen this car more than once up close and hate the design. Plust it looks like cheaply made overall. Fit and finish is bad.

I was not impressed by the performance either, I think it was in the 6s for the 0-60. Pay for 3 CLS for the same 0-60 is stupid. Plus there is more from the Ford Mustang bin than just the engine so I am not impressed at all by the product.

The powertrain is from the Mustang Cobra, but so are a lot of the interiour bits. I saw one up close at the LA auto show and the center console is right from Ford. So are a bunch of the other visible parts.

The 3 position top is a cool novelty, but I'd go for a retractable hard top before I'd go for one of these. I heard the list was over $80k, but for that I'd get a Panoz (also cobra powered, but much sleeker) and a CL-S for everyday.
