quickie amp help

i know its not in av but i want my subs fixed now, i hate not having bass

ok...

i had my 2 12 type r's being pushed by a jbl 1200 amp and they worked fine for a long time. when i got my tranny replaced, they magically cut out from time to time, and now they do not work at all...

the amp tells me it is overheated as soon as i turn my car on and any combo of wiring to the speakers does nothing...

help please?

How many ohms are you speakers wired for, maybe drawing too much power? Sounds like there's a short somewhere. JMO
