Quick question

Can an Oil Boy or any fluid extractor be used through the dip stick to drain the tranny fluid instead of having to release the drain bolt?

I wouldn't try that. Just take it to the shop if you don't feel comfortable.

Ahh, I was just wondering. I ended up doing it today(@ 30.9K miles) in that 90+ degree Florida heat and the difference is night and day. That drain bolt was a bitch to remove, god bless that PB catalyst shit because it worked wonders.

I decided to fill up through the dipstick because I didn't want to deal with the fill bolt & the oil jet kit, and I think it took me less time than it would have if I went through the fill bolt. The funnel I purchased from Walmart for $2.70 had an extension tube that was long enough and surrounded the dipstick hole perfectly. Took about an hour to change 9 quarts.

I remember reading some post about dumping the used fluid, do I have to take it back to Acura for warranty purposes or will any place like Pep Boys be fine? I know it is free at Pep Boys, will good old Acura charge?
