Quick question

How many quarts of ATF does our tranny require for a fluid change, not a flush ? I have a 5AT.

Its like 4. Just pour 3, and close up the bolt and start the motor and check the dipstick..

Thanks Moo. Honda told me 3 for my accord exv6 and he wouldn't say for the CLS. So you think it 3 too ? Any special tool that I need. This will be a first for me. I have compressor, floor jack, air tools the works, but this is my firs time changing my tranny fluid. Any thing I need to know ?

Nothing really. You just have to remove the bolt on the top of the tranny. and then remove the drain plug from the bottom. You get to see all the beautiful black metal shavings stuck to the drain plug.

Also, don't forget to run through the gears after it has warmed up.
