I thought auto and 6 speed headers were different.

but someone that is selling them (acura dealer) says the headers they have fit both.

whats the deal here? is it that the 6 speed headers will fit the auto, but not the auto for 6 speed or something like that?

Comptech's latest version is designed for the 6 speed but it also fits the auto.
I was one of the first to purchase the new design and Comptech told me they were actually a bit better design than the first from a performance standpoint.
Not sure if it's actually true, so who knows.
Anyway, they make one now for both cars.

 

You are correct.

6 speed will fit the auto, but auto won't fit the 6 speed.

 

Comptech only makes one model now and it fits both, so it doesn't matter anyway.
They have been doing this since last spring.
