Quick Autometer Gauge Question.

When you guys turn your ignition key, do both your Boost and Fuel Pressure gauges do the "self-calibration" where they start at 30 inHg or 0 (depending on the gauge) then max out and then come back?

Thanks.

No they just go up to current level. I was told to turn the key to power on and wait was the gauges to calibrate (meaning gauge stops moving) then turn the key all the way to ignition on and start the engine. This is to prevent "surges" in the measured systems from having an effect on the gauge's "self calibrating" which takes about a second once power is delivered to the gauge. I am going off of my gauges which are cobalt and c2 (both autometer full electriv sweep)

I turn the key to ON and the boost gauge goes from 30inHg to Opsi.

My fuel pressure goes from 0 to 70psi and then back to its current level.

I'm going to be checking the voltage on the fuel pressure gauge tomorrow. Something just isn't right.
