Questions re: S/C install

The s/c should be arriving early-mid february. I just want to make sure I don't run into any problems during install.

Right now, the Optima Yellow 51R battery is sitting in the stock location as shown in the second pic. With the battery tray provided by comptech, it should move the battery out of the way(downwards???) to accomodate the s/c being placed on top of the battery? Or, did I get the wrong battery? I really don't know if that is the 51R...my stereo installer ordered that one and said it is.

Also, the fuel pump is located in the trunk, correct? That being the case, I will need to pull out my system to install the comptech fuel pump?

that is the correct size for the comptech SC

Yes you will have to take your system out of the trunk to get to the fuel pump.

I changed my fuel pump today to the walbro fuel pump (the one that comes with the comptech kit)... It only takes around 30-40 minutes, you could easily do it yourself and save a bit of money on the install.

I did a self install. One thing you have to make sure of is that the camshaft O-ring is properly installed. If it isn't inserted perfectly, the O-ring will get pinched and your car will leak oil. The O-ring fits loosely on the mounting plate. Feel around w/ your fingers to ensure that it is sliding into place properly during the install.
A 51R is the correct battery, the comptech tray will move it down and out of the way.
Are you doing the install yourself?

No, the install would be a bit too advanced for me. I'm sure I could figure it out if I had a week(or more) of spare time, but I have other priorities that I cannot neglect.

I have a mechanic friend who owns a garage and he gives me dirt-cheap labour...he only charged me $300 CAD to install the CT headers, exhaust, titanium strut bar, springs, sways, and Koni Yellow shocks. Hopefully, he'll give me an awesome deal on the s/c install too.
