Most efficient first step would be to install a set of headers in my opinion.

There's lots of info/debates on which headers are the best.

Lots of threads to sort through in the FAQ's so you can decide what's best for your ride.

What's your budget?

def headers if you want speed and don't want to shell out $$$ for the supercharger.

comptech headers if you can afford them (new-~1200 or used-~600). if not, xs power is great band for your buck (new ~150).

if you can find the option underdrive pulley (ebay or BM) its like 2:1 ratio for dollar to horsepower, best $40 spent on this car.
Then I would do headers and suspension... and CAI

underdrive crank pulley, headers, intake then lower the car, get coil overs. but if on a budget, springs will work

My first mod for my CL was my cold air intake.

However if you're looking for a mod and aren't specifically looking for something you want to be able to do yourself, then there's others..

Civic mentioned it. I only mentioned headers, intake, and pulley because he asked what to do to add more power/speed. If he had asked what to do first overall I would say suspension first, but that wont really improve your 1/4 mile times.

JATO.

It's a FWD rig throwing more power into it not the best idea. Improving handling and brakes. When you race, the faster you can slow down the faster you can go around the track.

Noticed they still have these on Option's website. I'm not sure if they're still sold out on their Ebay page:

Jet Assisted Take-Off. Slap one of them on your CL and you'll go very fast.
