Question for: TL_Type_S

I was reading one of the thread and I read that you were planning to install springs at Garage Kwai. I was wondering if you already got it installed or not. If so, how was their work? I read quite good things about them on this forum, do those agree with your experience?

Thanks

Hey man,

Garage Kwai did an awesome job on springs... I recommend Benson's work anyday .. just had them put my crank pulley in today as well, and they did awesome work as usual. Tell them Raj with the white TL-S sent you .. lemme know how it goes.

I'm sorry if I'm wrong, but were you at Garage Kwai around 1 PM today? I think I spoke to you today, I have NBP TLS with TN lisence plate. Again I'm sorry if I'm wrong.

Thanks

Hi again!

Hi! Yes, you were the blonde asian guy!

Yes, I have the white TL-S you saw -- I asked you about your King motorsports spoiler, it looks really nice, but it's too expensive for me to get right now, i'll wait till next summer.

I highly recommend Benson (the guy you spoke w/ behind the counter today) .. he actually installed my Comptech springs. I know you were interested in the Tein w/ EDFC's .. he'll do an awesome job, and what's very cool about him is that he stands by his work. For instance, recently, I've been getting this vibration in my steering col, and took another 45 minutes today to figure the problem out, and corrected it free of charge. Very few guys will do that, especially 1 year since they installed your part.

Let me know for sure how you like the Teins, you're getting the installed next week maybe?

Raj

That's good to hear. Yeah I'm hoping to get it next week, if not week of 5th of Jan. I'll make sure to let you know how it goes. About my second tranny I think I got it sometime in April or so of this year, I guess I'm lucky that I'm only going through only 2 trannies. I can't believe you're on your fourth trans, do you think this one's going to last?

Thanks for the reply!

Well, to be honest, I don't think my fourth one will last... they've fed me all this info about how Acura has finally found the problem and corrected it, but my current tranny is shifting weirdly 2nd to 3rd... seems to judder sometimes.

If you got your second one in April, then that means you got the old revision, and you're gunna probably need a third one like most of us who already received a replacement that was just like the first tranny's in our cars. My current one is the LATEST revision to the tranny.

Best of luck w/ your current tranny, nonetheless. As soon as you suspect it's going, just take it in.

I second tl_type_s' opinion about garage kwai. I had my Comptech sways and my TEIN SS coilovers done by them. Of course I have a cl-s so I can't get edfc you lucky bastards. lol

Something with the hood clearance. The motors are too big.
