Question to those with Ceramic Tint
Question to those with Ceramic Tint
I have been reading through some of the older posts, and i think in one of them somebody said they can only get ceramic tint in 35% and 50%. Is this true?
Don't know about anyone else, but Formula One offers 50%, 35%, and 15% ceramic tint. http://www.formulaone.com/ - Check out their pinnacle series.
Ceramic tint is similar to metallic tint in that it helps to stabilize tint so it doesn't fade, however ceramic tint doesn't interfere with reception for cell phones, NAVI, XM, etc etc ... Although I've never had a problem with my Formula One Ultimate tint which is a metallic tint and I have NAVI (even though the NAVI antenna is in the trunk, so it probably doesn't matter).

This threat answered my questions but who here has ceramic tint and do you like it? I was quoted $495 to do all 5 pieces of glass... how does that sound? Other quote was $650.
ceramic tint is FTW. it is thicker and a little harder to work with so it might be hard to get a "perfect" tint. my friend has it on his 335 and i am going to replace mine with it. it is better because it will not interfere with any frequencies. and last time i check they did not have a "limo" shade in ceramic. cant wait to get thi done on all windows. (including the front windshield).

Even at 35% though, the ceramic blocks more sun light than the 10% black and more than if you had 20% hybrid/metal tint. And its easier to see out of compared to 35% black and 35% hybrid/metal.
Its worth the extra $$ IMO
