How do you guys think a stock '03 CL Type-S (not 6mt) would do against an '02 Pontiac Trans AM (6speed)? I'm pretty sure I will get raped...but maybe i can somewhat keep up?

The 6 speed trans am has suprisingly conservative gearing, the CLS 6 speed has better gearing in fact. This still doesn't make up for the fact that at the same weight, the trans am has at least 50 more hp and 100 lb/ft. You would probably be had in the quarter by a second or more. Plus you have a 5AT...beat?
