Question on Power
I mean I wonder if the stock suspension helps with the ability to screech 2nd gear. Maybe its the way the tires are laying on the ground.
Also how are the roads where you live. I know on certain roads I can really get a loud chirp in 2nd. It seems like on fairly new paved roads its really easy to chirp the tires.

hmm.... I remember when I was stock I could chirp 3rd pretty easy.
After intake, bored TB, and Headers....1st spins like crazy when VTEC engages, 2nd gear spins all thru VTEC with a little traction, and 3rd is a feather spin, like I have to counter the steering.

If I dump the clutch I can light up the tires going from 1st to 2nd (which I almost never do...). If you can't - assume weak clutch or really sticky tires - I'm still running stock size V rated but they are brand new.

My 97 prelude's owners manual said to pump up to 40psi if you were going to drive at a consistent speed over 100mph (along with the warning to follow local speeding laws).

The rubber in the mounts may be wearing out making them softer and prone to movement. The weaker mounts make your engine move more therefore not all power is put down on the ground. Some power is lost through the engine moving.
Why are you even trying to compare "Chirping tires" to a power measurement. Besides the fact that everytime you "chrip" your tires your eating away your cluth, expensive tires, engine mounts, etc.
Many variables come into play when you are trying to "chirp" tires. Suspension setup, wheels alignment, tire compound, tire pressure, road texture, blah blah blah. If you really want to see how much power you has gained with your mods go get your car dyno'd. Save the wear and tear on the car. If you are really into chirping your tires just mount up 2 spare tires up front and chirp away.

I in no way was using it to gauge my power gains, I would use nothing except for a dyno to do that.
Just making an observation and seeing what other people thought. That IS what a forum is for isn't it?

I had brand new 225/45/17 tires though at 32psi and my car was stock.
