Question for my chitown peepz

spiroh, sigs21, acuraCrazy ... all yall, quick question -- where'd you get your stuff installed? Like the Springs, and the AEM CAI .. (any mod friendly Acura dealerships?)

How was the job? How much did it cost ya?

Thanks much!

I go to Garage Kwai to get my parts installed. I talked to a few dealers, and they all told me the same thing. As long as its not proven the header did the damage, we cant void your warranty. I decided to save my money and get it installed for $75 at Garage Kwai. I will be getting my springs installed there also.

where is garage kwai? when are you gonna go? I need my CAI, and springs installed ... the CAI I have been considering doing myself, but since I have the springs too, I thought I'd get em both done together and be done with it .. [since some of us dont have 11 hours to spare ]

WELL i installed the CAI... which i dont think i did it right, but it works. My springs i got installed at at this place called Import Shop, its in roselle off of lake street. Its a one guy shop, so if you do major work id take it to a dealer or where sprio said to go to. Also i think continental acura does installs too. I remember someone saying they get their stuff done there.

Just take it to Garage Kwai in Arlington Heights. They have good prices, and the person who does the installs worked at an acura dealerhsip as a mechanic. His name is Benson. The phone number is 847.259.6960. They have done a clean install every time. Johntypes also takes his car there. They charged me $60 for the CAI (I think that was the price I paid) $75 for the header, and the price he quoted me for the springs was $175. I'm going to make an appointment for next week to get the springs installed.

I got my headers installed at Orland Park Acura for $225. I personally didnt want to get engine work done at an import store, just in case they fucked up some how. Definitley get your springs done at Spiro's suggestion or Acura Crazy's. I still think you should do your CAI yourself...only takes a few hrs...

I will try the CAI myself, the other problem is that I dont have a garage. My car is parked on a rocky (little granite rocks) makeshift driveway.

i think I'm gonna go with spiroh's suggestion for the installations.

by the way - who'd you get your springs installed by?

I got my springs done at Continental...I forgot how much they charged me...but no where near as expensive as they quoted you..that was a crazy number! It was kinda reasonable for a dealer...but expensive. If I could do it over I would go to an import shop for my sways and springs. But I'm glad I did the headers at Orland Park...they do alot of comptech stuff
