Hey Ming,

Being our resident Audi expert, can you tell me how the TT's perform? Are the engine choices the same as those used in A4? If so, I am assuming that you can get some good power out of the turbo w/ a chip, turbo upgrade etc. Just curious, I saw a great looking black one (decked out DTM style) and was just wondering what the performance was like. Thanks!

 

keep in mind that the tt comes in 180 and 225 hp trim, both turboed
chips abound for them, but beware, many stories of blown turbos and motors, voided warranties

 

they have the 180hp and 225 hp models. On a road course they do very well. They benefit from the chip since they are turbos and you receive ~40-65hp by the chip.
I havent ridden around in one alot. Warranty is an issue with the chip, but if you have a good relationship with the service person that goesalong ways.

Are the 180 and 225 hp engines the same just tweaked differently? What about the way the engine is mounted? I've heard that the Engines are mounted transversely, which helps the car breath better...is this true?
