Please Help!!!

Hey guys, I think im gonna need camber kits when i put on my 19s, so i was wondering, WHAT SHOULD I DO FIRST?:

1. put wheels on, alignment, camber kit

OR

2. alignment, put wheels on, camber kit

OR

3. Put wheels on, camber kit, alignment

I was thinking about doing #1, but i have no clue as to what to do first....So far, i just put on the teins and havent put on the wheels nor camber kit....I also havent aligned the car since i was waiting for the kits...Will alignment correct my camber issues?

Whats the best way to do this and save $$$??

thanks

You will put on the wheels, and then you may want to check alignment. But, if the wheel/tire package you are putting on does not change the height of your ride, an alignment check probably won't be needed. YMMV

I would go with #3 because you need to put the wheels on first to see do you really need the alignment. your car alignment already ok with the factory wheels.

Actually, you should put your wheels on, then check your alignment, depending on how far off your alignment is then you choose your camber kits. This is the proper method of doing it.

Except i wonder if you even need to worry about alignment if all your doing is putting on new rims. is your car lowered? if it is then you will have to do all this. if your car isn't lowered i think you should be fine since your car is properly aligned with the factory tires, and changing ride height by tire size doesn't affect the suspension. it's changing the springs that affects suspsension.

Camber kits are sold to correct a certain range of camber. so if you buy a camber kit, and it doesn't fall into the range of degree correction your car needs, guess what, you'll have to buy another camber kit that will work.

put your wheels on, get your alignment checked, then depending on those results buy the camber kit and get it properly aligned with the camber kit.

ingalls as well as comptech sell the best camber kits out there. but each are for different degrees of camber correction.

acutually, yes, my car is lowered with coilovers...(teins, and a 2 in drop all the way around)....After an alignment will they tell me how off my camber is?...Also, would i need to buy something that allows me to adjust the toe settings? or a camber kit just fine.?

The thing that concerns me is that after my coilovers, i noticed a slight camber on the rear just by looking at it...How many degrees?, i have no idea. I dont even kno if i need one...Do u know the amount of degrees of camber that is Okay and wont wear out the tires too fast? I heard like even 1 degree makes a world of difference.

thanks!

What kind of camber kit do you have? I am looking to lower mine pretty soon. I would fix the camber front and rear regardless of drop, very little camber can affect tire wear greatly. I am positive 2" will require a kit. Also I would get the alignment last, just to be safe...

currently, i have no camber kit....i dont wanna spend the money yet, untill i kno it will affect the tire wear significantly...i havent even put on the wheels yet, so im gonna put them on first, align it, then get a camber kit, if i need it....plus, someone told me that different kits correct differing amounts of camber....so after that, ill kno which one to buy....i mean, at first, i thought they were all the same....

I'm pretty sure with a drop this low, you're gonna need a camber kit.

Yes...you are right...those are teins. And CT lowers about 1.5-1.8 when settled...it really depends on how many passengers u have in ur car after installation, People who travel with many friends, will notice settling quite faster
