Just Got the GTech Pro Competition

I just got my GTech Pro Competition yesterday. This thing looks tight and also looks very sensitive in terms of calculating performance.

So I get this thing yesterday, this is my Xmas present to me, considering all the coak I got (coak:= partially burnt coal, I don't even deserve coal) .

So I take it out of the box and notice a scratch on the screen, hair-line nothing serious, but shit like that pisses me off.

Oh did I also mention that my tranny blew out on the freeway yesterday. Ohhhhh yea this is gonna be my second one. So now I have to drive like granny if I ever want to get to anyplace inportant. Luckly it doesn't downshift abruptly, or at least not yet. I remembered how to trick my tranny if I ever get locked in 2nd. Just by simply throwing the tranny in N and shutting off the engine and starting it back up.

So now I have no test bed to see how well this $250 piece of plastic and silicone really measures.

So anyone out there that wants to see this thing up close and get a feel for it drop me a PM. I need a test bed, oh and only people that have had dynos need only apply. I need to have something to relate this thing to.

SFLA_Type_S this is message mostly pertains to u .

Thanks for the clarification on that, hrmmm a white Christmas in South Florida isn't all that unheard of (when there are southern winds coming in from Columbia)...

Let us know how it works out, I'm very interested in this new model...

Make sure you weigh your car. Or your results will be very inaccurate!

Go to a weigh station. Or don't even bother using the thing.

I have the competition unit also. I'm waiting for the software to come out this month. So I can download my info to my computer.

When you decide to test it, do it on a flat street without bumps.

I'll save you the long story...

I'd be interested in a "review"

No one believe us (Floridians) that all year round we have a white Xmas . Its great having more coast-line than the Coastguard can cover .

U come down around my way, I'll hook u up .

A Salesman from Tesla the maker of Gtech... was a bitch to deal with... he offered 10% diiscount for order of 24 units...

He claimed he does not want to whore the Gtech Competition... I thought making the product popular is a good thing for the Tesla... but it seems he was a total ass...

I am down your way quite often, but no need for a hook-up though...

I've got to head down to Miami in a few weeks to look at a system to monitor the back-up generators and water supply to Jackson Memorial Hospital. I have also worked at the Miami airport, spent too much time there, on a jet engine dyno. Lately I have been up closer to you working with Okeelanta and out at South Bay at the sugar plants...

But I do know very well the traffic, and not vehicular, that goes through the area.

Oh crap. I thought that I could just plug in the damm thing into the comp and DL everything, well thats what the instructions say.

So when has GTech finially said that the software will be out?

If GTech does release it hit me up with a PM to let me know.

the weight is need to compute "Accurate Dyno Numbers" all other timings is independent of the weight number.

Ok but the GTech Pro is supposed to be able to compinsate for imperfections in the road.

No. That is NOT correct with the competition unit. Only with the 1st gen G-tech.

I tested that out by switching my weight around and my 1/4 mile times changed drastically. They incorporate the weight into the 1/4mile time calc now...
