Question for the ICEBOX guys
Got mine a few days ago, but just haven't had the time to do the install yet, and may not for awhile.
I had a question about the install. I already took my resonator out awhile ago, adn wanted to know if I still needed to drop the bumper in order to install it. If I dont need to still, I may be able to do the install much earlier. Thanx in advance.

Yo Mr. Hyde. How's it been going?
No, you don't need to drop your bumper, either way. You will need to remove the pushpin plastic rivits to install the lower intake tube. It installs from the bottom. Not sure if you could attach it first and then fanagle the whole assembly down. You may want to give it a quick try.
Also, in the first kits that went out, Comptech shorts TLS folks a bolt. It one of the housing mounting bolts. The TLS needs one more than the CLS. For some reason the CLS already has a bolt there where a ground wire of sorts attaches and the TLS does not have this.
Other than that, it was a fairly easy install, except one of the small hoses that is about 1-2" shorter than it should be. Still works, but you really have to work with it.
I would also suggest heating up the rubber intake connectors. Those 4" id ribbed tubes that fit over the throttle body are a tight fit. If you warm them first they stretch easier.
And enjoy it.

Thanx Ruf. I wanted to know if I could have somehow finagle that lower air horn piece in through the engine bay, but looking at it, I think its just too big, but dropping the wheel well liner is much less annoying than dropping the bumper again for the 10th time and breaking more clips. Thanx again.

I just installed the Icebox 2 days ago. My install was the same as yours will be as I already removed the resonator a while ago. I actually spent 2 days installing it. The first day I installed the Icebox but did not swap out the coolant lines. I was scared with bleeding the coolant lines and was hoping I could do with out. YES, you can do it but you leave the metal tubing with no other place to rest but ontop of the rubber flex joint. I was scared with the way the point of the metal tubing was resting on the flex joint next to the intake so the next day I did the coolant line. Not as hard as I thought.
Note: Have 2 people when doing the coolant line. I removed the very top plastic piece over the engine to get a better grip on the coolant line closest to the engine. This is where the second person comes in handy - Pull the coolant line closest to the engine with a towel in hand ready to stop the coolant from leaking out. Let me tell you it will flow. Have the second person hold a towel on it while you get the hose ready to place it where you pulled the old hose from. After you get the hose on you will not need a towel on the other end as it did not have enough power to make it up the hose. The place where you attach the the other end did not leak out at all. After you place the other end of the hose in the corect location. Start to blled the coolant line with the directions that can be found on this board.
I would say total time for instal was about 1.5 hours with the resonator already gone. I did not remove the wheel well lining, just the lining under the bumper where the end of the tubing will sit.

I installed the Icebox myself on my auto and there are some tricks that will make it so easy. You do not have to take off the bumper nor take the bottom lid...it is possible to manuever the bottom air pipe in the cutout....then ones you have the horn down put it together with the clamp and your done with the bottom. Then finish the hoses and flush out all the air from ur radiator lines by taking off the cap with the engine on and squeezing the reserve hose. You will actually see all the bubbles coming up....do that till there are no more bubbles.
Good luck should take less than an hour if you have the resonator removed.
