question for guys with CT ice box

cleaned my ct icebox today for the first time in over a year. I didn't have the ct cleaning kit, so I just washed the foam filter with some hot soapy water. The filter was very greasy. My question is this, after cleaning should I have oiled it? if so where can I get this oil, and what purpose does that serve?

I have an AEM, but I'm pretty sure the Icebox filter needs to be oiled too. Just buy it at Kragen or Autozone.

Gotta oil it. The oil traps the dirt. I would imagine that a K&N filter cleaning and oiling kit would work on the icebox foam filter.

did you buy your Icebox used? i ask this because i remember having received a spray can of oil for the foam filter along with the intake. unless you lost it. i don't think it'll hurt to use a K&N filter recharging kit for this.

If you want to stick with the Uni Filter products that came with the icebox, here's a place that sells the cleaner and oil

You can also find the uni service kits at your neighborhood motorcycle shop.
