How long does it take to dry? I am having my 91 accord's exterior repainted in this place....gave them a call today and they said it's being taped up now and may be ready this evening. Does it take that quick for the paint to dry?

 

It can be dry in a day but it takes longer to fully cure from what I was told. This car restorer guy I know says he wouldn't take a professionally painted car out of the garage for at least a couple days. Don't know the absolute truth on this though.

 

When I picked up my car it had a small ding in the passenger side door and I had to take it back a week later to get it fixed. They had my car for a week and a half to fix the ding(1 day) and paint the whole door(1 week plus) They said they like to have the car for a few days extra to make sure the paint cures to the proper color and texture.
