Question for all you blown CL's

I can't get an exact answer from my thread over at the TL section, so i'm gonna ask here since there are more SC'd people here. Whats the difference between the 98-99 AV6 Comptech Supercharger and the 00-02 AV6 Comptech Supercharger? I have a 2000 TL-p and have a friend selling the 98-99 version, the question is will it work correctly? (I am aware of the necessary changes when using the AV6 chargers on ours cars.)

The only difference that I know is that the 98-99 AV6 accords have a distributor while the 00-02 AV6 accords have direct ignition.. is this what makes the two superchargers different? Thanks in advance

Between those years, the stock fuel pressure regulators are located differently. That's why we list 2 different part numbers.

Bah, so that means I wouldn't be able to get 98-99 version and would have to get the 00-02? Or I could tinker with the 98-99?

The way I see it is technically it should work pefectly fine. Since the only difference between the two accords is the location of the fuel regulator and the distributor/direct ignition. I dont wanna end up buying this thing and finding out that its not compatable.

Why be cheap? Your spending the $ get the correct kit for your car. You get a full set of instructions, & a warranty & there's no guess work.

There is no correct kit for the base TL or CL. We have to take either the V6 Accord one or TL-S/CL-S and modify them to fit. Tehcnically the AV6 Supercharger "is" correct for my car, I just dont know if there is a difference between the 98-99 and 00-02 AV6 superchargers.

By modify, I mean change a few vacum lines around and the elbow, and a few more little things.

I thought CT's fits the CL, TL, CLS & TLS. It's all 1 application.

Nope, unfortunatley they never really made a kit for the base model TL and CL. Only V6 Accords and TLS+CLS. But most people just get one or the other and everything fits for the most part.

Maybe I found my answer..

The only thing different about the two kits is the sub kits.

The 98-99 has a different fuel line and another vacuum line.
fuel line: -6 45*to -6 90* x 24" #: 816-013
Vac. line: T/B to air assist vacuum line 3.5mm x 20" #: 811-002 20"

00-02
fuel line: -6 90* to -6 90* x 12" #: 816-014

It basically has to do with the stock FPR being under the IM for the 98-99 model and next to it in the 00-02 models.
