Question for all with higher wattage

replacement bulbs. I'm thinking about replacing my stock road lamp bulbs with PIAA 19172's, however, I noticed their a higher watttage than the stock ones. Has this caused a problem for anyone...such as electrical problems, melting, etc??? Also, how long has it been since the switch? Thanks!

I use Polarg M-6 (18W) bulbs and the first time I tried it, one of the bulbs "bubbled". I think this happened because there was oil on it. I must have touched the bulb while installing. Make sure the bulbs are clean before inserting. I used a paper towel to handle them so I wouldn't get any oil from my skin onto the bulbs.

thanks fella's....i bought them today and will be installing them tomorrow. i had problems with the last fake HID bulbs I purchased. they were made by APC and ended up burning up my headlight sockets which in turn shorted out my entire lighting system. they caused all of the lights(interior and exterior) to do some really weird shit. it ended up costing $2500 dollars to fix....luckily my vehicle was under warranty. i'm sure the dealership new something was wrong, but thank goodness they didn't press the issue. hopefully, i'll have better luck with these.
