Question about tire pressures.....
What do you guys suggest as a tire pressure (cold) for "spirited" street driving? Front and rear for a CL Type S, thanks in advance.

My dealer, at delivery, told me to keep 32 in the front and 34 in the rear. I've had no problems with that but have to remember to switch the pressures when the tires are rotated. The tires have been excellent about keeping their pressure.

They did say why but I forget (I bought it in May '00). I have also looked on the Michelen web site and their recommended tire pressure for our car is 32/32. I haven't experienced any problems with the front tires at 32 on the CL-S and at my last service, the tech said I should get another 22K out of them (50K miles total).

try this...at the SOLO races coming up next month on Long Island, they tell u to pump up tire presure to between 40 and 45...my question is if i have to drive 10 miles on the highway to get to the races, what r the chances that all 4 tires will burst by the time i get there??

If you are talking stock, then some folks were running a higher pressure in the front (like 34-35PSI).
I have Toyos and run 39-40PSI. The wear is good and I've tried other pressures for "fast" driving up in the twisties, in the rain, and in other conditions -- the 39/40PSI combo seems to be the best for the Toyos...
BTW -- the Toyos are rated for 50 PSI max, so YMMV
