Question about taking K&N filter off intake to clean!

ok, we're taking my k&n filter off thru the bottom to clean it.

How the hell do those little black plastic screw like things come off so we can remove that black plastic cover like thing to unveil the k&n?

you can have the rest. I've got like 1/2 bottle of each. I found a place online to get the cleaner kits for like $10.

Don't have the link on this machine tho.

Just cleaned mine today. Piece of cake...

You just need a flathead screwdriver to pop the little bastards off. Pop them down and they should pull out.

I left my filter off, and my car is gonna stay in 2nite. Takes the damn thing forever 2 dry.

I can't believe how dirty it was. I could tell it was kinda clogged cuz I wasn't getting that resonating sound when i hit vtec range anymore.

I had 5K miles on mine and it still looked new.

You can drive pretty much immediately after the filter has been cleaned, can't you? The filter will be "damp" but that shouldn't hurt anything.
