Yea, Im curious too because mine has been blinking awfully long when I 1st start the car. Its blinking twice a second for about seven seconds. I've never really noticed it before.

No problem. That's what I thought. I don't keep the manual (with extra keys, etc) in my car, so I figured that whoever used to own your acura probably did the same and forgot to include the manual with the car.

This question comes up often enough, that I figured that it was worth scanning...

I also posted the scan on the Maintenance light thread in the FAQ forum here.

Your blinker fluid might also be low. I'd have it checked

Thanks a lot. CARMAX dropped the ball again, I hate that I don't have a manual.

Guys, quick question.

Like I posted earlier, I bought my car used. I don't know what maintenance has or has not been done.

When I took my car to Frankel they were only able to tell me if my car has been serviced there. Is there a way for the dealership to search a national database to see where/if my car has received any of its scheduled maintenance?

If you know where the car came from you can call the local dealers and see what they have. That's what I had to do....one of them said they had a record but refused to tell me what had been done.

You guys can get replacement manuals (owners, quick reference, and service) from ebay or http://helminc.com too.

my maintenance required light turned on the other day with 33700miles on my car. isnt the light supposed to come on at a specific mileage?

My guess is that they come on at specific mileages after they have been reset.

Mine JUST started doing this today actually...it blinks for about 5-10 seconds or so and shuts off. My car has roughly 69250 miles on it by the way. Now I was just about to bring my car to my mechanic to get the oil changed...should I tell him about this light as well? Or should I bring the car to an Acura dealer? Now what maintenance could they be referring to? Help please

`John

^ I will assume you are being serious.

The light is just to remind you to have your car serviced, i.e. battery replaced, tires rotated, fluids replaced.
