question about drian bolt washer from oil pan...

why is it necessary to replace the washer everytime i change the oil in the cl-s? corrosion? is there a specific type of washer that i need, spec wise? any help appreciated...thanks

i don't why it needs to be replaced everytime you change oil. i get the washer whenever i buy the honda oil filter. costs about $.25.

It's a crush washer that prevents any leaks. They are not reusable....
