question about big brake kit on stock wheels

so i did some search and found out that u need a 5mm spacer to make the stock CLS wheels fit on a BBK (specifically Rotora BBK).

Can some one confirm this.

Also is this for CLS wheels from 01-02, or 03 or both.

Not sure about the stock CL-S wheels, but I know the stock TL wheels will clear.

Stock TL or CL wheels, 01-02 or 03 will not fit the Rotora Single piece rotor and 4 piston caliper. A 5 mm spacer is needed. 04+ TL wheels will clear with no problem. As will our wheels.

a 2 piece rotor is even more difficult and may require more than 10mm of clearance.

Whoops, I completely forgot to put the year for the TL wheels.

I always seem to forget about the second gen

BTW, if you want to keep the stock looking split spoke 03 wheels, the 07-08 base model TL wheels are very similar, and they should clear without a spacer.

I ran 03 CL-S wheels with my Rotora BBK using a 5mm spacer without a problem. You just have to be careful when removing wheels to avoid scratching the calipers.

i tried fitting an 01 CLS wheel on a 2 piece Rotora with 5mm spacer and that didnt work. not even with about 7-8mm. and when i tried a bigger spacer, i barely had any room to tighten the lug nuts so i'll prolly need longer studs.

Only the 1 pc disc BBK will fit with a 5mm spacer. The 2 pc disc is 7mm wider than the 1 pc disc and will require a larger spacer and longer studs.

Yes - same specs - 17X7 w +55mm offset

I ran the '03 CL-S wheels with the Rotora 1 piece rotors using a 5mm spacer without a problem. Tight fit but it worked fine.

Yes - that's correct. It was Seattle CL-S in his CTS-V racing NSX Tuner. That was a great road trip.
