Question question about AEM CAI Bypass Valve installation

When I installed my AEM CAI bypass valve, I didn't want to cut the tube, so my set up is like this:

The bypass valve is attached to the engine first, then the actual AEM CAI is attached to the valve.

Well, theoretically, the bypass valve should still function. But does anyone have any opinions on this?

Now the more I read about the installation suggestion made by AEM, the more I feel like I should do the setup exactly as they suggested.

Let me know. Thanks all.

I would put it in the middle of the CAI. IOW, cut it.

If you read the instruction aem provided they specifically say NOT to do this. The vaccume fromt the engine created will overcome the bypass.

Question important question regarding the two tubes

Anyway, I reinstalled my CAI properly today, cut the upper portion and install the valve horizontally along with the throttle body axis. When I close the hood, it presses onto the valve a little bit, but it is ok.

My question is that when I disconnect the two tubes on the Y connector (one tube connects to the CAI, another one connects to the throttle body), as I was loosening the one connecting to the throttle body, I see that there is a lot of coolant water squirting out (maybe because I didn't cool my car down?). Just want to make sure that that tube actually does contain coolant?

Thanks a lot!
