question for 6spd owners with nitrous

When do you start spraying? I was never good when it came to nitrous, it always confused me, so i'm wondering when do you start spraying, i would say right after you shift into 2nd or right from the start?

NOS

As long as you are at WOT (Wide Open Throttle) you can use NOS. I wouldn't recommend using it while under a heavy load condition (say 1K to 2.5K RPMS in 2nd through 6th). There are systems that you can use while NOT at WOT... but most basic kits are wired so that you actuate the NOS when flooring the car.

Also... I wouldn't use it for more than 15s at a stretch. Make sure you arn't using it BETWEEN shifts and also it isn't a great idea to hit the rev-limiter while on NOS.

It's a lot of fun... from what I can remember!

I start spraying at 4500rpm's and dont stop til whenever i let off. I was told w/out an RPM switch, not to spray below 4000, so i usually do it when i shift into 2nd, then hit it. Ive had no problems shifting while spraying, and in fact bumped up to a 100 shot and today ran with a ZO6, from a roll....we went from 40 til about 90 or so and i was at his bumper, no joke, cause im sure people will read this and say bullshit, but its really strong now...

NOS vs. Z06

I believe you... although I don't know if the CL-S will hang with a 100shot from like 98 through 110mph. That's where displacement or forced-induction will help! The Z06 is pretty darn fast up there!

I don't know why people under-estimate the CL-S 6spd. I mean... its a pretty darn fast car for how heavy it is!! OVER HALF of the cars UNDER 3.5 liters can't even fathom 13's without the aid of NOS or Turbo, and FWD for that matter!
