So i started poking around in the engine bay the other day and noticed that the engine damper that acura added rotates loosly.

Here is a small vid. Photobucket made it really choppy but you get the point:







So the question is, is it supposed to move that easily? I mean it requires no effort to spin it...

I don't know, I'd have to check mine. I don't have the car with me today though. Doesn't seem like it should be that loose

yeah thats what i was thinking. Now another question is, do you get a lot of jerking when engaging the clutch in 2nd gear? I think that these may be bad or just too loose because even if i let it out smooth, it jerks at times.


Either way, if you or anyone can check, let me know.

the rubber cover on mine turns but not the shock

so its loose like mine? because if you grab the bolts up top and then try to spin it, thats when it spins for me.

I checked mine again for you and if i grab it from the top bolt and try to spin it it spins just like in your video. your guess is as good as mine. I dont know if it is supposed to be this way. jim
