Putting on winter wheel is depressing

Took off the 19's and tossed on some winter wheels.
I couldn't get CL wheels, so I went with TSX wheels and tires. I got a really good deal. The don't look all that bad. I'll take some pics next time I clean the car. Those of you looking for wheels for the winter may want to look into the TSX forum.
Also, I need some recommendations on places to get one of my Axis Mods fixed in NJ.

Good luck dodging those old granny florida drivers.

I have yet to take mine off. I'm waiting for the first reports of possible snow, or until potholes start getting bad.

I had one wheel that was leaking from the dent on it. It was a pain in the ass. I actually forgot what it was like driving a car with enough rubber so I don't feel every bump.

I am too but it's depressing that I can't keep them as clean as I did when the weather was hot.

Usually around this time of the year I get the snow tires down off the storage rack and make sure they are OK.
Check the air pressure and clean them up a bit.
I leave them down near the car ready for a quick change.

Then as soon as the weather guy predicts snow I’m all ready for a quick change which takes about 30-45 minutes.
I’m still debating if I should buy a new set of tires now.
This will be winter number FIVE for mine and they’re starting to wear quite a bit.
Unlike summer tires, once snow tires get past 50-60 percent wear they’re pretty much useless in the deep stuff.

Yeah I'm waiting until the last minute to swap my winter wheels + blizzaks on.

When it needs to happen it won't take me long.

Same here. No point in rolling on winter tires this early since, normally, it doesn't snow this early in November. I just wait for the first prediction, then swap them out the night before. No biggie... some gloves, hat... done in 30-40 minutes.... I like to ride on good tires as long as possible

Yup. I will rough it out and swap the tires before snow. I am waiting because it is too much fun to drive the CL aggressively in these temps. Once I get the snow tires on, I gotta take it easy.

So true. These cars (as do most) LOVE the cold weather. With the I/h/e combo.... still too much fun to fly.... therefore, waaay too early for snows

The EARLIEST I ever had to put the snows on was Thanksgiving weekend.
The LONGEST I ever went was the first week of January.
You just never know when the white shit will make its first appearance.

This is why you need to be rolling on stockers all year long.

Don't have to deal with the mental strain of taking them off.

You don’t have to worry about all those annoying onlookers either
Or putting up with all those complements.

Yea….that’s MUCH better……
