put away your minor gripes with your acura's

And be thankful it does not look like this!:

First the new Avalon, then the Echo, followed by the SC430. Toyota must have hired the same idiot who designed the Rhino on Crack(AKA "The Aztek").

This is excellent - Toyota is designing themselves into a hole. I think Nissan is slipping and about to fall into that hole too.

Who wants a car with power if it's FUGLY?

-J

hehehehe it's so boxy and the wheels look so tiny because of that. How terribly FUGLY.

what's so ugly about it?? to me, it looks quite conservative, considering there are people who like the designs of the Q45 and GS430...i got beef with the wheels, and i mentioned that in an earlier thread...the front looks a bit sporty, but a subtle sporty, kinda like our cars...i've been noticing that these cars are getting more and more boxey looking, and even if they're sporty looking, the designs of the bumpers and some body panels are still boxey...i guess it's more of a taste issue than anything else.

This doesn't look THAT bad. That Pontiac Aztec is butt-ugly!

I looked at the Avalon when trying to find a second car. Have any of you seen the dash in that thing? One glance in the window and I was driving off the lot--having scrathed the Avalon off my list. The dash has a thin but long display area and it wraps over to the passenger's side. It just screamed "Buick"!

A little Aztek in there. The body overwhelms the wheels. Looks bulky.

Yeah, it's not that bad. Not exactly what I'd call attractive, but the current Camry is so incredibly boring that this is most definitely an improvement. And besides... it's the Camry.... what did you expect?

The side flares remind me of a Tiburon for some reason.... Hehehe, not exactly something I would want my car to look like if I'm Lexus.

To be honest, I have not been impressed with the new stuff that Acura/Honda has been making either.

OK, this is a definite improvement over the current 'falling sleep while looking at it' design. This one at least turns some heads. I agree with people that say the body is overwhelming the wheels. I think it looks agressive and needs wheels that are wider and bigger to fill the wheel well better. At first it looks ugly, but the more I look at it, the more I kinda like it. Have to see it in person, reminds me of Q and Taurus.

Oh yeah, the avalon is a huge Buick like car, with a half decent design, but that dash is 100% Buick certified. Although with the XLS package it is much better.

It's a cross between the front end being like a focus, and the rest looking like a mercury sable....aieee..no thank you.

sad thing is, some people will think this is a really nice car--of course people like this keep CL's from becoming as common as mustangs or civics, so on second thot--i like it!!!

i'm going to assume this is the ES, in which case it could look better, but at the same time it could look worse. the front end looks real nice, but looses looks in the end. i don't like the latest generation Camry and the back end of this vehicle looks very similiar to that. good start...bad finish....IMO
