I love Honda. I have driven the crap out of my 3rd Prelude and I am looking for an upgrade to a CL - S with the manual trans. Can anyone help me out with what I need to be looking at when checking out these cars? I am pretty good at spotting wrecked cars, every single one I have seen so far is wrecked, however I am looking for the advice maybe only a CL owner would know. Lastly - what is the general opinion - will I love this car like my prelude?

Pretty much the same as buying any used car. Check the maintenance history and records, the lower the miles the better and try to find one that drives and looks like it has been well taken care of.

There are also some great after market choices such as headers, cold air intake etc., available as well.

That said, I think the Acura CLS 6 speed has to be one of the most reliable cars around! I don't see how you could not love the car, but I am sure that I might be a little biased.

Not many issues on the 03 CLS 6spd that you can look out for... It's pretty bullet proof and except for the front brakes warping, there are just minor issues....

Run a carfax on it, and go from there...

Searching for common issue* and common problem* will turn up alot more threads that mention the same things. All of them minor IMHO.

I think you'll love the car... it's the next step in the evolution of a honda/acura sports coupe...

 

I agree w/ Dave a Greenie, definitely look into those links and read a little about the CL-S.
I'm pretty sure you'll love it as soon as you drive it though (that's what happened to me).
There's a few in the black market of this forum as well (depending on your location) they might be worth checking into. Most of the guys on here baby their cars. Good luck!
