Pulling out navi - question

I am going to remove my DVD-ROM from my 2001 CLS. When I do this, will the AC be screwed? Or can I just use the manual controls for it ?

Thanx

I have been wondering the same thing...i wanted to put a lil bit larger screen in the dash and a seperate dvd player...but didnt know if it will jack up the ac controls...i am assuming so since not all of them are controlled by the manual buttons. If you are looking at being able to play dvds i've heard of something like an adapter you can hook up to factory navigation to play it through the screen already in the car check out....http://www.tvandnav2go.com/index.html i contacted them about pricing and how to get one but nobody ever responded

dont know how but it can be done.... there was a guy in the Audio & Video forum that used a touchscreen in place of the stock navi screen to build a car PC.... search for car pc and you should come up with something...

if the dvd-rom is removed, i believe the screen should still work-a/c should have nothing to do with the dvd-rom
