This is a funny one. Late Friday night, I was 3 blocks from home when I was at an intersection. The guy coming straight across from the other side flashed his high beams when the light turned green to give me the go-ahead to take my left before he crossed the intersection. I punched it ever so slightly and squealed the tires a bit (for less than a second). AS SOON as my tires lit up, the cop directly behind the guy who let me go turns on full force lights and pulls me over 5 houses away from home on my street. He says, "The reason I pulled you over is because you pulled out of that intersection aggressively". I said, "No problem, officer, but the guy was letting me go and I didn't want to keep him waiting." He says, "Believe me, pal, you DIDN'T keep him waiting." He goes back to his cruiser and comes back to my car within a minute. He gives me my license/reg back and says, "Take it easy, the Police ALL KNOW that this car is fast, you don't need to show us." Cool cop...lucky break....God bless the CLS!!!!!

You should have asked him if he wan't to take a run! I'd like to know how quick those cruisers can catch up.

 

Well...I think the Std. Cruiser comes with a Mustang GT engine...the CrownVic is heavier, but I bet he could hang with us...of course, we can't outrun his radio!!! I had a couple beers that night and really didn't want to prolong my interaction with him. If I hadn't drank, I would have definitely let him take it for a spin.

 

I walked out of williams last thursday ... all the cool cops hang out in that lot at 1 am. they were parked around my car, so i flipped the lights on as I walked to it, gave them a little tour, then asked them if they wanted to race ... they just laughed ...
