Pulled away from Trans Am....
well my friend Patrick and I had been messing with the Turbo in his sweet Volvo 850, and after a while we got bored and decided to go drive around in my car. so after a little bit of driving we pass this loud trans am so i make a quick U-turn and follow the trans am to a left turn light...then i recognize the car and realize i know the kid in it....soo we turn left and he waits for me to get up next to him and of course he has to look over at me and give me the usual cocky smile....so Patrick is like GO GO so the trans am and i both go and i immediately begin to pull little by little away from him.....i was really shocked that he didnt blow by me.....pretty good kill huh? btw its an auto so he couldnt have messed up shiftin.....ill try to find out the Trannys specs and post them later.....

well 330RWHP.....it just so happened that the kid with the Trans Am was at the track this Sunday and I just happened to race him once or twice and both times IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII pulled away from him.......thats right....he wasnt gaining at all on me.....IIII was leaving him in my rear view mirror....his best time out there was a 14.5 or 14.6.....so i can feel a little cocky for the time being....im going to try and post the videos.....or atleast for sure get them into KAZAA or something.....send me a message and when I get the videos onto my computer ill send them to you peace

on the contrary, i've beaten my freinds 2000 z28 on more than 1 occasion, and when i was hampton bays track, i stayed next to a formula from stop to 75 then he started inching up and beat me by 3 tenths...he did have a bad launch though and his was worked but when we got back in line him and his friend(who bought my friends old 98 s/c cobra) were like "what the hells in that thing...a 6 speed i didn't know it was a 6 speed, etc etc. so i believe it

I've beat an 03 Cobra w/ boltons. Around 480rwhp. He spun alot. I didnt. I don't consider that a kill, because if the guy knew how to drive, he would of destroyed my ass...

what makes you think im' not around v-8's all the time either? sometimes it happens, sometimes its the driver sometimes its not. Yeah im' a much better drive then my friend's camaro that i beat every time, but when you're going 60mph and you just punch it, what does that have to do with the driver. Nothing ,dont go sayin bullshit every time an import beats an american. And for your information i happen to own an 84 z-28 so im' well aware of what american's can do

My slow ass 98 Cobra "SVO" ran 13.7 bone stock and 13.1 with mild boltons....again, if you beat them, it was a lame driver....about equivalent to a CLP beating a CLS, shouldn;t happen, but a kill is a kill I guess. No one is saying you didn;t win these races, just that the guy behind the wheel sucks.

I wish some of you lived around here. I know plenty of guys w/ LT1s, LS1s, Cobras, etc. All of us will kick your ass from a stop, from a roll, it doesnt matter. The fact is you guys only run against shitty drivers that dont know their cars.

I dont think anyone was tying to flame you. It sounds like they were just commenting on the trans am drivers abilities, or lack of we should say. If the guy cant drive you should have no problem beating him in a 6 speed cls. But LS1's are ridiculously fast if the right person drives it. My buddy has an 00 z28 auto. ran 13.5 when it was bone stock at englishtown.

Anyway, why do you V8 people get so defensive? It was a lightly modded auto LT1, and he got what he had coming. This is what's going on these days. The LT1 is turning into fox body mustangs. They have lots of miles, are loud, and you never know what you're going to get.
Stock LT1, auto/6 spd avg is 14@100...when running well. Add up 80-120k miles, a lot of abuse, and no recent tune up/attention to detail and these cars are pulling 14.7 at the track. That's a nice kill, esp since he thinks his car is all that.
However, a well tuned one, with a few mods will run well into the 13s and show you tail lights all the time. Same with the fox mustangs, there's a lot out there that I can stomp, in either the acura or the SS...and there's other that simply fly.
A kills a kill....and 5 yrs from now when there are a bunch of 100-150k CLS running around with punk kids...they'll be out of tune pulling mid 15s and getting humiliated by little well tuned 4 bangers, etc....It's a viscous cycle.
