Not only that, but look at the front end. Notice the air intake tubes? They bring fresh air to the front brakes and were only part of the Cobra R.

There's no way this is a fake Cobra R.

Yeah, they're out there already. I've even seen them running at the track.

Holy crap, I coulda sworn the 12.9 was the Lightning pulley. I didn't hear about it doing 12.4x. Ouch that's mighty quick.

Although the whine of the SC is so annoying, IMHO. But hey, it's fast.
Read last month's Car and Driver. They got a production model Cobra to go 12.9

Pretty good for Car and Driver!

Everything I see looks legit...

Here's the breakdown of "Cobra" vs. "MUSTANG" on the rear bumper:

BTW - thanks to Tom2 for "filling in"...everything he stated is spot on...

94 - Mustang
95 - Cobra
95R - Mustang
96-98 - Cobra
99 - Mustang
00 - Mustang
01, 03 - Cobra

As far as talking times the 03 and the 00R run, they are both solidly in the 12s, especially if C&D can run a 12.9 (who is VERY conservative driving RWD cars). Also, I would say the fastest 1/4 performer before the 03 was the 95R (With the 351 Windsor), rather than the 00.

Not trying to start any shit, but there was not a '00 model Cobra.

If you remember correctly, Ford had a huge fiasco with the '99 Cobra's HP rating. The car wasn't putting out the advertised 320 HP. So they "fixed" all the '99 models and decided to delay the '00 Cobra. Unfortunately, they eventually decided to scrap the '00 Cobra. In '01, it was back with the proper 320 HP.

If they would have made an '00 Cobra, it would have had "Cobra" on the rear bumper. The Ford parts catalog had already listed it as the proper part for the '00 model year. I know a guy that actually bought the "Cobra" rear bumper cover for his '99 Cobra early in 2000.

Thanks for pointing out my typo, it should have read 00R. And yes, I remember all about the 99 fiasco and 00 cancellation.
