Prototype V6 Headers could see the production line...
I emailed the owner of the Prototype racing and asked about the headers.. here is his reply:
The V6 headers were never put into production. The tooling is being sold to another manufacturer.

I've been waiting for other manufacturers to
make headers for CL-S. I think 1100 is way to
much. I think 750. would be reasonable but don't know how much longer I can hold out before biting the bullett!

I don't pay too much for a part just "because". I will wait and either buy cheaper ones when available or do without headers.

I don't necessarily agree with that, but the reason I am waiting is that I think the design of Comptech headers can be improved upon to improve the HP output.
Hopefully other manufacturers will do that.
Hopefully other manufacturers will do that.

You guys are hoping for too much... The truth is that the aftermarket manufacturuers see our CLS as a near luxury car. To that extent, the aftermarket makers aren't gonna divuldge into making us parts, no matter what you feel the demand is...They're not gonna treat us like the civic, integ or even seven owners. Only a few players will get into our car and even if they get into making us parts, they probably won't materialize until the next gen CL comes out. Why you ask? Figure Honda will throw a new engine into the CL in the next gen and also figure that honda will more than likely recycle our engine or at least some derivative into the next gen accords. Then you'll see more shit out for that accord and then you'll see stuff compatable with our CL's, albeit a bit late.

Well the prototype headers are the wrong headers if you want low end power... typically a 6-1 header is ALL about high rpm power. The CompTech design, 6-2-1 will probably give a broader power curve than a 6-1.

True...
The 6 into 1 header would be nice for the manual folks. I changed my 4-cylinder from a 4-1 to a 4-2-1 and got almost the same power at 7K, and 10 more HP at 4500.
IMO -- Not the best for automatics
I'm not exactly sure how much more power people are looking to get from a set of headers. When you tell someone that the Comptech headers are giving nearly 30hp at the wheels they look at you like you're crazy. Man, headers for 4cyl cars usually give around 4-10hp max, if that.

Believe me,Comptech Header is really high quality made.I have only seen Greddy in the same level, not even DC sports,Hks or others.
While you are still waiting for other companies,a lot of us have already enjoyed driving a 290 hp CLS :p
JUST BUY IT!

Can anyone here confirm that the cL-S is being prepped for rally? I inquiered about products that level-10 had available for the cL-S. He said that level-10 and Hoinda R&D where prepping it for rally. This was his response in an email that was sent to me a couple of months back.? If so then I think the cL-S will have many performance parts in the upcoming months.
