I’ve been in contact with Joe at Prototype Racing for the last few weeks on getting a test fit of their Headers on a 6-Speed manual CL-S.
We have a member in California getting this done this Sunday the 14th, one day after the Accord MEET.

Last I heard from Joe, the Headers for the CL, TL & Accord wouldn’t be in production until at least September.

While I like the progress that Prototype is making I really can’t wait on them forever.
We now have a relatively sweet deal from Dean in Florida to get the Comptech Headers for 999-shipped and I think I’m finally going to do it.

I will probably wait until Monday to order in case there is some kind of MAJOR information released at the MEET or if the Dyno shows a 75-Horsepower gain.
But like I said, I’m getting tired of waiting on them and there’s no guarantee that they won’t cost MORE then Comptech.

I’m looking forward to these Dyno runs this weekend.

The latest info I have from Joe is that the Headers will be out in September and will sell for 1000-bucks.
Unless that’s a RETAIL price, their Dyno better show more then the 30-33 that the Comptech provides.

I would expect to see some decent gains but I'm still reluctant at a much greater increase than what is already seen with Comptech's. The amount gained just by headers is already astonishing, how much more is there to be had...

Additionally, I would like to see the weight of these, all that piping has got to amount to an increase, 20 lbs??

But they sure are a work of art!!!

I know it was a question...I was just thinking what I would think if that was the case. I really dont think that will happen...but if it did...well, I would be selling the CT ones ASAP.

As for the other stuff...I just put what I was going to type into some web translator thing http://babelfish.altavista.com/tr and thats what it spits out. I figgured that it would not be right but it was better than what I could have done.....sooo sorry if its not correct

good I'm counting down the days till Prototype(or atleast someone else puts headers and other V-6 Honda/Acura products) for sale other than Comptech. I still think think Comptech is TEARING US up on prices. They can claim it's electric they can claim it's R and D, they can claim it's whatever but 1200 bucks is WAY too much for headers. I could maybe see 750 but 1200 bucks without installation is insane. I know you pick up about 25 HP but those are EXPENSIVE HP if you ask me. heck with a AEM or Ingen CAI you can pick up a good 15 HP for 250.
this is why I'm boycotting Comptech. They've hammered us for a long time now it's time to support other aftermarket companies. I'd honestly rather run stock than run Comptech. cause running Comptech is saying yeah I'll pay whatever price you wanna put on the product. and if we do that they will slowly creap up. like they have. at one time they were 1000 bucks now they are 1200. and guess what not too long they are gonna probably be 1500 bucks. when is it gonna end

Uhh I just got my headers for 1060 shipped and there is someone else that has them for 999 shipped in the black market.

Also the CAI you get 8-10 not 15

If you dont like CT...dont buy it...I like the power and I am glad someone at least is making stuff for our cars
