Problems w/ cruise control

I recently had my AEM pulleys installed, but now something is wrong w/ my cruise control. When I press the set acc button the light comes on for a second but then goes off and the cruise control doesn't set. Does anyone think that the pulley installation had anything to do w/ the cruise control going out?

take a look at that super long wire that goes from a black box from the left of the engine bay to the middle of the engine bay

does it have any kinks in it?

Why would kinks hurt anything?

thats a throttle cable(stranded metal) which shouldn't be touched, if you kinked that you really shouldn't be playing under your hood
