Problems with Gas Tank/EVAP Leak

I've got a 2003 CL type S. It's been in the shop now for over a week due to problems with the EVAP system/gas tank. This is like the 6th time in the shop for the same problem. I've had the car little over 7 months. They replaced numerous parts (everything but the physical gas tank) and now I'm waiting on some valve that sits on top of the tank. Apparently the part is on back-order and Acura has no ETA. Has anyone heard of this or read any bulletins on faulty, defective parts?

Never heard of the problem.

It does sound like a hard to determine issue which would hamper the dealer since most follow the diagnosis information.

Yes, their advice was to not fill my tank up all the way...That is ridiculous..so we have been back and forth for months now. It's just not getting fixed.

Just be direct but cordial about the issue. They work on much variety of cars so the intricacies are often missed and so are the proper ways to diagnosis these issues.

IMO, this is a pressure control problem. As such all items should be tested independently. However, they will most likely not have the proper equipment to do so.
