Problems with the FP
Problems with the FP
I havent driven my car for months now because of a few things i am doing (still not done) but I start it once a week and keep it running for about 5-10 minutes.
I noticed that my FP at idle is 33-34 lbs and vac is 20. I know I am supposed to be at 42 lbs at idle with the HBP. I dont know what it is but now that I am thinking about it I have always had low fuel pressure with exception to the first week I had the SC put in. I always went passed 100 lbs and now it will reach maybe 90.
Is it possible that my FPR needs to be tweeked? by the way max boost seems low too and runs about 4-4.5 lbs MAX. Any thing I should do or can adjust myself?
Thank you.

Making a pulley to make the SC run about 7.5-8 PSI is very possible. As long as you dont run the Blower beyong 16,000 RPM i beleive, which is around 10 lbs of boost. I just want a little extra something. I just dont know where to start.
Can anyone help me with my problem.
Thankyou
Tighten the belt. If you aren't seeing full boost you may not see full fuel pressure as the FPR is a rising rate regulator and as boost pressure rises fuel pressure will as well.
If that doesn't work I'd check the gauges and lastly check the regulator. Purchase a manual fuel pressure gauge (they are only $40) and test the fuel pressure directly at the regulator fitting where you currently have the fuel pressure gauge sensor installed.

PS-Do you know where I can pick up a max boost pulley and what else is needed besides the pulley to do the job right? injecters? Tuning of the FPR? im looking for about 7.5-8 lbs.
No front mounts though. Is the only one Hope system's? is the FM an option?
An intercooler would help with detination as well as a methonol setup would?
Correct me if im wrong.
Thanks again

Not sure about the pulley.
Send BlueCLS6 a PM and ask him for the part number on the intercooler.
You'll need the e-manage too in order to retard timing and add injector pulse width too if you up the boost.

Thanks for your help..
Do you have a high boost comptech pulley on the alternator already? If not I got SC side pulley for sale. ;D

I am interested in a higher boost pulley. What are you sellihg it for? I know i have to intercool it and E-manege it in order to retard the pinging timing ETC..... you wouldnt happen to know what type or size intercooler (front mount) I can use?
Thank you
Thank you
