Prepping before Installing Supercharger?
Prepping before Installing Supercharger?
Need to know any misc. parts I should look into before slapping on the charger.... I know I should definetly get a Pillar pod & Gauges as well as probably get some colder plugs (IK22?)... Is Porting the TB and IM really going to show a significant gain or is it not worth the small gains I'll get...
BTW I'll probably be running the 5 lb pulley & will get it tuned probably at Turbo Trix which is 3 blocks away from me or if you guys can recommend elsewhere I'll take that into consideration...
Any help would be appreciated. My current mods are in the sig minus the charger which has not been installed.

Colder Plugs
Mugen T-State and Switch
Don't waste your time on the stock intake unless you are making drastic mods
Get a wideband O2
Get a OBD-II scanner
If you increase boost, get a knock-sensor
Are you running the E-manage?

Are the IK22s needed or will the IK20s be fine on 5 lbs.
Alright I'll scrape the IM what about the TB?
I'll get the Wideband and I'm not certain if it comes with E-Manage... I'm buying the kit of another member... I'll have to touch base with him... do you know what ECU management comes with the kit usually?

Get the IK22's. There are two reasons.
1) They are a colder plug.
2) IK22's come gapped at .032". Both IK16's and IK20's are gapped at .044". FI mixtures are harder to fire through so the .032" gap helps assure a clean fire.
