does the 03 cl have a premuffler? and if it does can if i get it removed and replaced with straight piping will my exhaust sound deeper?

 

It has a little one in the middle of the car. This is to tone down the loudness of the exhaust. You could do what you want, but the car may be too loud, & you might loose some power. Comptech is working on a direct bolt in piece to replace this. They keep claiming it's a month away, but that was 4 months ago.

 

DONT REMOVE THE RESONATOR! that is what that in line muff is. If you do be prepared for Resonace fron hell at low to mid RPM range.

 

All you'll get is a nasty ass moan from the exhaust when you're crusing.......
