i own a premium cl 2001 w/navi and i am looking to add cat back exhaust. however i've done a shitload of searching and can only find axle-back for my car. my question is if i install the comptech(or comparable) headers will that make cat-back doable for me? I think, i've only heard this, that the difference between my engine and a cls is the headers and the exhaust. Thats what makes the difference in specs. is this true or am i screwed and can just buy axle back.

 

actually i think its a little bit more invalved then that between the type s and non... but most everything will fit the car if they make it for a type s it will also fit ur car. also look at stuff for the 6th get accord (2dr.) i find that parts for that car fit well with our cars as well.

 

The main differences in our cars are some of the internals (pistons), a special intake manifold, different size throttle body, and ECU. I do think there is a difference in the mufflers, but that is it for the exhaust system....the rest is the same between both models. You should be able to get any cat back for a premium or type s,and it should fit fine.
