Anything like this happened to you before?
So, last night around 11pm. I'm studying at the library being a good college student that I am =) , I get a call from my friend. He asked what I'm supposed to have in my trunk. I'm like "wtf do u care?" and he goes, "B/c your trunk is open!!" My balls dropped thinking someone must have broken in .. so I asked him if my doors are locked and he said yeah... no apprent damage to the car but my trunk was wide opened.. what the hell?? I checked my car this morning under daylight, to make sure if there's any sign of trying to pry my trunk opened.. but found nothing... so I'm thinking.. did the lock for my trunk accidentally unlocked itself last night?? I'm pretty sure I was out of remote control range to accidently push the button... let me know if any of u guys experienced this sorta thing before....
Yes.
About 8 months ago I went to my health club over my lunch hour, got my gym stuff out of the trunk, shut the trunk and went in. I always make sure my factory alarm beeps before I walk away. If the trunk was open, it wouldn't have beeped.
I come out the parking lot 2 hours later and the trunk is WIDE open...not just the 8 inches that you usually get when you pop it, I'm talking WIDE open.
My heart sinks into my stomach because I have about $1,500 worth of stereo equipment back there and I thought for sure someone broke in.
I get to my car to find EVERYTHING is still in there, subs, amp, everything.
No sign of any forced entry and it has worked propperly ever since. There was very little chance that I accidently popped with my remote as I walked away, but I suppose you really can't rule that out.
I still can't believe that it was wide open with all that stuff in there and no one took anything, but I guess that is one of the few perks of living in Minnesota....I'm actually more surprised no one shut it for me.

maybe it was your boss trying to give you a heart attack for going on your lunch hour for 2 hours!?
j/k never heard of that happening, but now my trunk will be empty just in case!
happened to me once. i woke up in the monring went to my car to go to school and my trunk was popped open. i think i must of either accidentally hit the button or opened it compulsively because i usually have something in my trunk to take in but didnt go back to get it out.
