Preludes....

My friend from school just bought a used prelude... i think its a mid-1990s model, not sure about that exact date, but he said it the one with stock 200 hp. I was just wondering how our auto 2001 CL's would do against it. He said that he didnt put in a turbo, but claims that hes pushing like 300+ hp with bolt ons... which i belive is a load of shit.. not sure what he has, but i know hes got intake, exhaust, new rims/tires, about it.. any takers?

And for the racing stories, id liek to say that i killed a 325 convertible and a 3series, didnt see which, but definetly not a 330 at the same time =D. they were acutally racing on old georgetown road in rockville, and i just butted afger i caught up with them a red light. I didnt get a good jump cause the road is shit, but once i got to 2nd gear i passed one of them, and it took me all of 3rd to get the other, but i got him =D. dunno how fast i was going though, didnt bother to check... well thats it, not to fun, but its been awhile since ive pushed the car

If he's not running a 100 hp shot of NOS, that prelude must have some amazing intake and exhaust to increase horsepower by 50%. If he is (and his engine doesn't blow or melt), you would probably lose since his car is a lot lighter than yours.

As for beating the BMW's you must be the greatest driver in the world. I would've thought that the BMW's would've smoked you. Considering you only have more .7L more displacement, 80 more horses, 60 more ft-lbs of torque, and 100 lbs less weight I would've thought the bmw's would have pulled it out. But I gotta say, your driving skills must be impressive. In that case, I would give you the edge over the 300hp prelude...

HaNgOOkNoM, whats up man, it's David. Who from school got the prelude? There are a lotta bullshit liers at our school w/ overexaggerated bragging.

BTW guys, he has a CL-S (not CL-P), even though he was not specific

We eat 325s for breakfest, and I have done numerous times on Bradley (nice straightaway about 1/8mi. before intersection of Bradley and Seven Locks)

I don't know him, but anyone who plays football, soccor, or lacrosse at school usually has some B.S. up their sleeves

yeah, we saw a white CLS at Regal in Rockville, MD.... it kind of looked like an accord body kit but im not too sure. it looked pretty nice though. my only complaint is that it had a rear spoiler that made the back of the car look really bad, like the rear bumper was jutting out. im not sure whose it was, i think it MIGHT be nova white cl-s, just cause hes in our area...

on the way to jersey we were goin to the car show and i had to burn gas so me and my friend in his 99 prelude, intake/e/h/plugs and wires were fuckin with each other, so at 70 i dropped it into 4th(nto 3rd) and he dropped his into 3rd and i just kept pulling and pulling up to about 105 where i stopped and he was pretty far back so you definitely won't have a problem

Well, not that it counts TOO much...but my previous car was an automatic (sportshift) 1998 Prelude. No mods except a K&N intake, tint, and wheels and it was SLOW compared with my CLS. The only place I felt fast was on the highway. You could at least run other autos that didn't have the option to drop a couple of gears. 60-120 it went pretty good compared to a lot of cars. I'd be curious to hear what type of HP I could have had out of that car. I traded it for the CLS since it was time for a timing belt, had 90K miles and I wanted somethinging faster, more comfy, and infinitely more sexy!

alrighty.. i talked to my freind again and he still insists that he has 280 hp.... said he got it dynoed... now i really would call bs, but hes a friend of mine. he said no turbo, but new igniton, changed the ecu, pulleys, i/e... no nos..... any thoughts? i was gonna post on the prelude form (preludeONline.com) but they make you pay for that shit.... and if any of you are wondering, i would physcially see what he has, but he broke his leg so he cant drive for a while

how do you get 280hp from just those mods. when he gets better you gotta check that shit out for yourself man. 200 to 280 just from ecu, pulleys, and new ignition thats strange.

i wanna know where he's getting parts cause he's getting some good parts if he's getting 280 hp out of a prelude with pulleys,a chip ignition, intake and exhast.

his probably real dyno is 240-250 HP(and that's being on the giving side)
