Wait... am I reading that right.... you put the car in neutral on a hill and it rolled. Then you put it in park.. then back to neutral, and it rolled again. Then you turned off the car and set the ebrake and it didn't roll.

Sounds normal to me unless I'm missing something. Cars have a tendency to roll down hills while in neutral.

EDITED VERSION:
for a second today, when i put my car in reverse.. it didnt do anything and it was on a semi incline and rolled foward(as if it was in neutral.. and the breaks didnt even work
-i put it in park... tried it again and it did the same- turned off the car- put on e- brake -- turned it on , put it in reverse-- took off the ebrake-- and it was fine--

is that a precursor to transmission failure?

Is that possible? Maybe you just thought you were in neutral but in reality you were kinda in drive? Im not familiar with the A/T shift gate so I dont know if it can be 1/2 in 1/2 not.
